IT Support Services Project Manager (Remote)

SYSCOM is seeking experienced IT Support Services Project Managers for a long-term engagement with one of our valued clients. This is an exciting remote-based opportunity to contribute to impactful technology initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Work Location: The position is Remote; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite meetings at the client’s offices in Baton Rouge, LA - approximately once per quarter or less.

Job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide day-to-day project management support
- Create and publish project documentation, including project status reports, project schedules and plans, risks, issues and other documentation, as needed
- Plan for utilization of resources
- Meet with Management and Users to understand project goals and milestones
- Track Project milestones and deliverables throughout project life-cycle
- Provide and maintain detailed software/hardware maintenance documentation
- Act as liaison on behalf of client and internal departments
- Create end user documentation and training as needed
- Provide technical knowledge transfer, training and documentation to client and internal staff for all requested work, as needed
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
- 5+ years of experience in managing projects
- Ability to provide business references for all positions listed on resume
- Ability to work within the Continental US
- Excellent communication skills
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
- Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and Law Enforcement technology project experience
- Project management experience with a state agency
- PMP Certification
- SCRUM Master Certification
- Managing large scale projects with many teams and stakeholders
